Then drive to Dallol, one of the hottest places on Earth and the lowest point in Ethiopia. Explore the vibrant, multi-colored sulfur springs, acidic pools, and bizarre rock formations created by geothermal activity. The area looks like an alien landscape with its bright yellows, oranges, and greens.
Take time to walk around Dallol and capture photographs of the unique mineral formations, including salt mounds, sulfur lakes, and hydrothermal deposits.

In the afternoon: Enjoy a picnic lunch in the shade, as there are no facilities in this remote area.
