As an optional experience, you can book an early morning hot-air balloon ride. After the flight, you will be treated to a bush breakfast in a picturesque setting, a once-in-a-lifetime experience that is well worth the cost. Serengeti means "endless plains." Lunch will be served along the way.

You will arrive at your camp in the late afternoon, with opportunities to spot some of the millions of animals that inhabit this iconic park during the journey. You’ll have an authentic African safari experience at a lodge situated within the national park, right in the heart of the wildlife action. Upon arrival, your driver-guide and the camp manager will provide a comprehensive safety briefing.

You will wake up to another glorious day in the Serengeti. Start the day with an early morning game drive to search for animals when they are most active. Afterward, return to the lodge for a relaxed breakfast and lunch.

Spend the hottest part of the day at the camp, reading your favorite book, writing in your journal about the safari, or simply listening to music while observing the birds. Don’t worry, the animals will be doing the same. In the afternoon, head out for another game drive through the park. Later, you'll return to the lodge for dinner and another night under the Serengeti’s stars.

Upon arrival, you will descend onto the crater floor for a half-day tour. There are only a few roads that connect the crater rim to the floor—one for driving down, one for driving up, and another that goes both ways. The crater is about 20 km (12 miles) wide and 600 m (2,000 ft) deep. It is home to a rich and highly concentrated variety of wildlife. Approximately 20,000 mammals of different sizes live there, including about 20 black rhinoceroses, making the crater the best place in Tanzania to see rhinos.

The animals here are less wary of humans and vehicles, making it easier to observe them up close as they roam the lakes, rivers, woodlands, and hills. After your time in the crater, you will exit and drive to your lodge at the rim for dinner and your overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater - Lake Eyasi - Tarangire National Park

After an early morning breakfast, you'll make your way to Lake Eyasi, a large seasonal soda lake. Lake Eyasi has been home to the Hadzabe people for over 10,000 years and is one of the few places in Africa where traditional life continues without modern influence.

Today, you have the option to either drive directly to Tarangire or visit the Hadzabe land. If you choose the latter, you'll have the opportunity to meet members of the community and participate in daily activities like hunting, gathering, and traditional dances. You'll also learn about their unique ‘click’ language, which is thought to be one of the oldest languages still in use today. Afterward, proceed to your lodge in Tarangire National Park, arriving in time for lunch.

After lunch, embark on your first game drive exploring this beautiful park, which is believed to have the second-highest concentration of wildlife in Tanzania after the Serengeti. Later, return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
