When you arrive in Rwanda, you will meet with our professional guide at Kigali International Airport. The guide will take you to the hotel and brief you about the tour. After your long journey, the guide will let you take a break and prepare for the next day.

Game drive

You will wake up early and leave the hotel at 5:00 a.m. to drive 3 hours from Kigali to Akagera National Park to attend a briefing at reception at 8:00 a.m. Then, you will start to enjoy a game drive. Driving from south to north, you will spend around 6 hours in the park. Apart from seeing the Big Five animals (lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes and rhinoceros), you will also enjoy encountering different species of wild animals, aquatic animals and plants in the savannah forest. You will leave the park at 2 p.m. to return to Kigali for the night.

Mountain gorilla trekking

You will wake up early to leave the hotel at 5:00 a.m. to drive 2 hours and 30 min from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park to attend the 7 a.m. briefing at reception. The gorilla trekking activity starts under the control of a guide and trackers. When the gorilla family is spotted, visitors are allowed 1 hour to view, take pictures and analyse their behaviour in their natural habitat. Then, they return to the hotel for lunch and spend the night. The activity can last 3 hours, depending on where and when you find them.

Transfer to Kigali

After waking up, we leave the hotel at 9:00 a.m. to drive for around 3 hours to return to the capital for lunch at the Kigali Serena Hotel. Then, during the afternoon, you will do a Kigali city tour and shop for some souvenirs before returning to your hotel to take a break before your return home.
