Day 1

Nairobi to Hell's Gate National Park

Nairobi to Hell's Gate National Park

We depart for Hell's Gate NP which is one of Kenya's smaller parks and can be explored on foot (security provided), by bicycle or safari vehicle. The park has spectacular scenery including the towering cliffs, water-gouged gorges, stark rock towers, scrub clad volcanoes and belching plumes of geothermal steam. A game walk or bicycle ride amid gracefully grazing gazelles, larger antelopes, Zebras and Giraffe is a delightful experience!
We then leave for Lake Naivasha for lunch and check in to your accommodation.
In the afternoon, you can opt to relax or do other activities (at extra cost) which includes a boat ride, plus a visit to a Game Sanctuary for a guided Nature Walk.
The lake shores host abundant birdlife including pelicans, cormorants, and fish-eagles with their haunting cry. There are also herds of Wildebeest, Giraffe, Waterbuck, Zebra, Buffalo and Gazelle.
Dinner and your overnight stay are at the booked lodge.

Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, we'll depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru is one of the Rift Valley soda lakes at an elevation of 1,754 meters (5,755 feet) above sea level. The park is about 188 square kilometers and is ideal for bird watching and wildlife viewing. It’s also a sanctuary for black and white rhinos.

Lake Nakuru National Park also hosts the rare Rothschild’s giraffe, which was introduced to the park in 1977. Luckily, these animals have become accustomed to the vegetation type in Lake Nakuru National Park and have slowly become an indigenous park species. The lake's abundance of blue-green algae used to attract a vast quantity of flamingos that famously lined the shore.

We will arrive in good time for lunch. Later, we will proceed for an afternoon game-viewing drive. Afterward, we will return to the booked lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
