Balule Game Reserve to Treehouse Lodge

Balule Game Reserve to Treehouse Lodge

Awaken at sunrise for an exhilarating day of unforgettable bush life. Drive to a remote part of the Balule Game Reserve to enjoy a bush walk with your experienced field guide. The thrill of following Africa’s large animals until you can take a photo will remain with you forever. Adrenalin surges will be acute, notwithstanding the presence of your armed ranger. Return to the affordable game lodge for brunch.

At around 3 pm, we go on an afternoon game drive. We then transfer to the Treehouse Lodge for dinner, where we stay in fascinating and romantic treehouses.

The treehouses are not built on a tree branch; they are wooden cabins (mostly between trees) for the treehouse feeling. Some are on the ground, others elevated. You cannot choose a specific treehouse as it depends on group sizes. Some cater to single travelers or couples, and others to families. Some units have en-suite bathrooms, and others share bathrooms between a few units.

Kruger National Park Game Drive

Drive to the Orpen Gate of Kruger on a custom-built open-sided game viewer. You will have an opportunity to view the game without intervening glass windows and also listen to and smell the denizens of the bush. We make regular stops at picnic spots, restaurants and places of interest.

The open plains of the Orpen-Satara-Nwandezi regions attract large herds of zebra, giraffe and antelope, which in turn attract many predators. In fact, this zone has the highest concentration of lions in Africa.
