Aberdare - Lake Nakuru National Park
You'll have breakfast and a shuttle transfer to Aberdare Country Club. You'll rejoin your driver-guide and depart for the Rift Valley arriving for lunch at a Lodge in Lake Nakuru National Park. You'll have a late afternoon of wildlife viewing and bird watching.
Lake Nakuru is a shallow soda lake with many flamingos. It is also a rhino sanctuary. You'll embark on a game drive which includes viewing flamingoes from close range. Keep your eyes open for the elusive leopard or the tree-climbing lions of this park.
The lake's abundance of algae used to attract a vast quantity of flamingos that famously lined the shore. Other birds also flourish in the area, as do warthogs, baboons, and large mammals. Eastern black rhinos and southern white rhinos have also been introduced.
About 10,000 years ago, Lake Nakuru, together with neighboring Lake Elementaita and Lake Naivasha (60 km further south), formed one single, freshwater lake that eventually dried up, leaving the three lakes as remnants.

Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, you'll commence a drive west past Mount Longonot and via Narok to the Masai Mara National Reserve to arrive for lunch at the respective Camp / Lodge. You'll spend the afternoon at leisure, with optional activities. A visit to the Masai Cultural Village or taking a walking safari, flanked by Masai warriors (Morans), in the middle of the rolling African savannah, takes you through an experience of learning the medicinal plants that the Maasais use and how they mutually co-exist with wildlife in the Mara ecosystem.
The Masai Mara National Reserve (also known as Masai Mara and by the locals as the Mara) is a large game reserve in Narok County, Kenya. It is named in honor of the Maasai people (the ancestral inhabitants of the area) and their description of the area when looked at from afar: Mara, which is Maa (Maasai language) for "spotted", an apt description for the circles of trees, scrub, savannah, and cloud shadows that mark the area.
