From there, you'll encounter snow all the way to Uhuru Peak (5895m), Africa’s highest point. After reaching the summit, weather permitting, you'll take photos before starting the 3-hour descent to Kibo Hut. After a brief rest, you'll continue to Horombo Hut (a 3-hour walk) for the night.
