After an early breakfast, depart from Arusha and head to the world-famous Serengeti National Park. Along the way, enjoy a breathtaking stop at the Ngorongoro Crater rim. As you enter the Serengeti, you’ll understand why its name means "endless plains." Covering 18,000 sq km, the vast plains are home to the Great Migration, with millions of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes. Keep an eye out for big cats like lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. This vast caldera spans 102 sq miles and is home to nearly every East African species, including the rare black rhino. The crater's diverse habitats—rivers, swamps, lakes, and plains—support a rich concentration of wildlife, including some of the largest elephants with impressive tusks.
