Nairobi to Masai Mara Game Reserve

Check for flights arriving at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi early in the morning, before 07:00hrs, to prepare for departure to Masai Mara Game Reserve. Your safari driver guide will meet you upon arrival at the airport. Following a pre-safari briefing, depart and drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve, arriving at Sarova Mara Game Camp in time for lunch or a late lunch. Alternatively, we can pick you up from your hotel in Nairobi early in the morning and head to Masai Mara. If your flight lands in the afternoon before 1:00 PM, we can adjust the itinerary to start with a stay in Naivasha.

At 16:00hrs, enjoy an afternoon game-viewing drive in the park before returning for dinner and an overnight stay at Sarova Mara Game Camp.

Masai Mara Game Reserve

One full day in the Mara with morning and afternoon game drives in the Reserve at 06:30hrs and 16:00hrs respectively. Maasai Mara is a magnificent landscape of open plains bisected by the Mara River and its tributaries, punctuated by marshes and forests. This 650 sq kilometer reserve supports the highest density of game to be seen anywhere considering its size.

It is on this very terrain that the annual migration takes place when millions of zebra, wildebeest, and gazelle cross the plains below, on their way to the rich new grasses of the Serengeti. A spectacle that should be witnessed in one’s lifetime!

Masai Mara Game Reserve to Lake Nakuru National Park

Early breakfast in the Camp and depart for Lake Nakuru National Park to arrive at Sarova Lion Hill in time for lunch or late lunch.

Lake Nakuru National Park is colored by a shimmering flamingo pink from thousands of beautiful birds lining its shores, making it a popular place with visitors as well as locals. The park hosts over 450 species of birds, including a large gathering of long-legged, long-necked pink flamingos.

Sarova Lion Hill is one of the few lodges within Lake Nakuru National Park, offering a remarkable experience for visitors.

At 16:00hrs: Enjoy an afternoon game viewing drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, returning to the lodge in time to refresh for dinner.

All meals and overnight stay will be at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge.

Lake Nakuru National Park to Naivasha

Start the day with an early morning game drive, then return to the lodge for breakfast and prepare for check out. Afterward, drive to the nearby Lake Naivasha to arrive at The Great Rift Valley Lodge in time for lunch.

The rest of the day is open for you to enjoy a boat trip to Crescent Island for a day excursion at an extra supplement charge or to spend the day at leisure by the pool and enjoy the lodge's amenities.

Lake Naivasha to Nairobi and Fly Back Home

Have breakfast in the lodge at 8:00 am and head out to Hell's Gate National Park for a comprehensive game drive, trekking, and an optional cycling safari. Have lunch en-route and drive towards Nairobi. Arrive in Nairobi at around 4:00 pm. You'll be dropped off at your hotel/pick-up location or Airport.
