Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast at your Arusha accommodation, our driver guide will meet you for a brief orientation before departing for Tarangire National Park. This park is known for its scenic landscapes, with the Tarangire River winding through low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. The vegetation is mainly acacia woodland and giant African baobab trees, with expansive swamps in the south. During the dry season, the river and swamps become magnets for a variety of wildlife. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds and is home to three rare species: the greater kudu, fringed-eared oryx, and ashy starling. Enjoy a picnic lunch and continue your game drive until late evening, then head to Karatu Safari Camp for an overnight stay.
