Day 1

Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi at 6 AM, embarking on a scenic drive to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Along the way, you’ll pass through the Great Rift Valley, making a stop at a viewpoint to take in the stunning landscape.

Arrive at your camp in time for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in the vast savannah, where you’ll have the chance to spot lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and many more species. As the sun sets over the Mara, return to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2

Explore Masai Mara

This day is dedicated to a full-day safari in Maasai Mara, offering an immersive experience in one of the world’s richest ecosystems. After an early breakfast, you will set out with packed lunch for an extended game drive, exploring different regions of the reserve.

If you visit between July and October, you might witness the Great Wildebeest Migration, where thousands of wildebeest and zebras cross the Mara River in search of greener pastures, often pursued by crocodiles and big cats. You will also visit the Mara River, a prime spot for viewing hippos and crocodiles.

For bird enthusiasts, almost 500 species have been recorded! Among these are 16 species of eagles, hawks, and falcons, 6 species of vultures, 8 species of storks, 4 species of bustards, and 9 species of sunbirds. Your dinner and overnight are at the same camp as the day before.

Day 3

Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru

Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru

Enjoy breakfast at the camp before you visit the local Maasai village to learn about the culture and enjoy a traditional dance from the locals (this is an additional activity). After departing for Lake Nakuru National Park, you will arrive at the lodge in time for lunch, followed by check-in and rest.

Later on, head out for an afternoon game drive up to 6:30 pm. Lake Nakuru National Park is a renowned paradise for birdwatchers. It has a large population of birds, the most famous being the thousands of flamingos, which form a beautiful deep pink coloration around the edges of the lakeshore.

Apart from these flamingos, over 400 species of birds visit the lake. Other animals that can also be seen in the park include Rothschild’s giraffes, black and white rhinos, waterbucks, reedbucks, lions, buffaloes, leopards, baboons, and several other species of plains game. Your dinner and overnight stay are at the lodge.

Day 4

Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, you’ll check out and begin your journey Lake Naivasha arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a boat safari on Lake Naivasha, where you can see hippos, fish eagles, and other bird species.

For an additional experience, visit Sanctuary Farm, a private sanctuary where you can take a guided walking safari among giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests in a predator-free environment.

Spend the evening relaxing at your hotel, enjoying dinner, and taking in the peaceful lakeside atmosphere.

Hell's Gate NP to Nairobi

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and depart for Hell's Gate National Park. Here you’ll embark on an exciting game drive through the park’s dramatic landscapes, characterized by towering cliffs, deep gorges, and geothermal steam vents. The park is unique in that you can also explore on foot or by bicycle, allowing for an up-close experience with zebras, giraffes, warthogs, and antelopes.

After the morning activities, begin your journey back to Nairobi. This marks the end of an unforgettable 5-day safari.
