Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire NP

Arusha to Tarangire NP

On this day our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Arusha early in the morning, drive to Tarangire National Park, where you will spend the entire day exploring the wildlife. As Tanzania's third-largest national park, it is renowned for its impressive baobab trees that tower over the animals foraging beneath them. The Tarangire River is the highlight of the park, which is known for hosting some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. During your visit, you may encounter lions, leopards, cheetahs, lesser kudus, buffalo, oryx, elands, giraffes, and zebras. After a day of exciting game you will be dropped off at your lodge in Mto Wa Mbu for delicious dinner and overnight.

Day 2

After a quick breakfast, go down to the crater floor for an adventurous game drive. You can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, black rhinos, antelopes, and many kinds of birds. Some of the birds you might spot include eagles, vultures, and flamingos in the Crater Lake, as well as storks, bats, giant vultures, sacred ibises, kori bustards, blacksmith plovers, long-necked herons, and cattle eagles. After a picnic lunch at the lovely Hippo pool, you'll climb back up the steep hill to leave the crater. Then, you'll have a drive back to your lodge, where a freshly cooked dinner will be waiting for you. After all the safari activities, you'll be tired and will need a good night's rest. The next day, you'll start the final part of your safari.

Day 3

Lake Manyara NP to Arusha

You will be picked up from your hotel in Mto wa Mbu morning after breakfast and head to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day of exploring. You'll have a picnic lunch during the day. When you enter the park, you'll see beautiful forests of Acacia and Mahogany trees. The game drive will continue until evening, with a short break for lunch. While you drive around, look for buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, baboons, and blue monkeys. One of the interesting sights here is the lions that climb trees, but finding them can be lucky. If the season is right, you might see many flamingos along the shore. After the game drive, you'll return to your hotel in Arusha.
