Arrival in Arusha

Depending on when you arrive, you might have some time to relax and get ready for an exciting adventure. Arusha is a busy town and a key part of safari life in northern Tanzania, where many travelers pass through.

Materuni Waterfalls
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and take you to Materuni Waterfalls. Your adventure starts 2,500 meters above sea level with a local guide. You'll explore the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, seeing birds, chameleons, coffee, and banana trees. At the waterfall, you can swim in the clear pools before heading back to the village for a coffee tour. Later, we'll drive you to Chemka Hot Spring, where you can swim in a natural pool with small fish. Remember to bring your swimwear! Enjoy drinks while swimming until evening, then we’ll return you to your accommodation in Arusha.

Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara is often overlooked but is a gem in Tanzania’s Northern safari circuit. It's a small park but has dramatic views, with the Rift Valley escarpment rising above it. You'll see lots of baboons and elephants in its lush evergreen forest, and keep an eye out for the famous tree-climbing lions. The mix of lake, forest, and cliffs makes it a great spot for birdwatching, so bring your binoculars!

Serengeti National Park
Experience why so many visitors fall for the Serengeti. Look out for big cats, elephants, and a variety of wildlife. You might spot giraffes, impalas, zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, and many birds, often before breakfast. Watching these animals in action, whether it’s a hunt, a huge herd, or a mother caring for her young, is unforgettable. The Serengeti’s iconic acacia trees, golden grasslands, and rocky kopjes create stunning scenery.

Central Serengeti National Park
Start your day with a cup of tea or coffee and a packed breakfast. Early mornings are perfect for spotting predators, as they are most active then. Head out from Central Serengeti to the eastern areas, where you might see cheetahs, lions on the rocks, and other wildlife. Enjoy a game drive until early afternoon, then you can either return to your place for a hot lunch or keep going with a packed lunch. Finish the day with a drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you'll have the chance to see more lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, and hyenas along the way.

Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, your safari guide will take you into the crater to see wildlife. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area has plenty of animals thanks to its year-round water and food. You might spot wildebeests, zebras, buffalos, elks, warthogs, hippos, and large African elephants. There are also many predators like lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the rare leopard. Visit Lake Magadi in the crater's southwest, where you'll find hippos, flamingos and other birds. Enjoy a short walk near the hippo pool at Engutoku Tok before heading out for lunch.

Tarangire National Park
On the last day of your safari, start with a hearty breakfast before heading to Tarangire National Park, stopping at Lake Manyara National Park for a half-day game drive. You’ll enter Tarangire by 9 am, where lush acacia and mahogany forests set the scene. The game drive will go on until mid-afternoon, with a picnic lunch along the way. Look out for buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, baboons, and blue monkeys. You might even spot tree-climbing lions or, in the right season, see the lake shore covered in flamingos. By mid-afternoon, you'll head back to Arusha and be dropped off at your chosen location by 6 pm.
