3-Day Meerkat Expedition

Arrival and transfer

Day prior to our safari, a meet and greet shall be done where a full in person briefing shall be given and any request/queries shall be attended to.
Morning
We depart from Maun with our guide, enroute to Planet Baobab game shall be seen this is an approximately 3hrs drive. Enroute to to Planet baobab we stop over for our packed breakfast.
Upon arrival at Planet Baobab, take a stroll with your guide through the surrounding baobab forest. This vast saltpan desert, an area that is bigger than Switzerland, was once the largest expanse of fresh water on the planet! We then enjoy our packed lunch.
Evening
Enjoy a flaming Botswana sunset with a cool drink over a campfire as your guide explains the fascinating geological origins of the Makgadikgadi. Enjoy our dinner and rest for the day.

Tent size 3*3.5m equipped stretcher bed, a veranda, attached bathroom with toilet, shower, and hand basin. Camp chores are done by staff.

Bush walk & quad bike

Morning
Enjoy your breakfast then embark on a quad bike and bush walk. Here you shall have an opportunity to come close to meerkats, Quad bikes enable us to explore the vast nothingness of the Makgadikgadi in an ecologically correct fashion leaving only a shallow track that will be washed away by summer rains. Go where no man has ventured before—far across the unexplored wilderness of the vast and empty saltpans. Open the throttle; close your eyes and travel, knowing there is nothing to crash into until you fall off the edge of the earth.

Afternoon
Transfer to Nxai pan national park which shall take approximately 3hrs, you shall enjoy your packed lunch enroute to nxai pan national park.
Enjoy a brief game drive and arrive at campsite for your dinner and settle in for the night.

Last Day

Early Morning
You'll wake up early and embark on a morning drive to spot different wildlife species found in Nxai pans as well as be mesmerized by the beautiful landscapes of the pans. You will have a stopover for a cup of coffee/tea and Rusks at Baines Baobab. You'll get back to camp and have a full breakfast.

Pack up and begin transfer back to Maun. Packed lunch shall be enjoyed enroute to Maun which is approximately a 4hrs drive.
