Drive from Kampala to Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino tracking

Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up by our experienced guide in Kampala. After a brief introduction, you’ll embark on a scenic drive towards Murchison Falls National Park. En route, you’ll make a stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can track wild rhinos on foot. Accompanied by a knowledgeable ranger, you’ll have the opportunity to observe these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat while learning about the ongoing conservation efforts.

After an exhilarating rhino tracking experience, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at a nearby restaurant before continuing your journey to Murchison Falls. As you travel through the lush landscapes and traditional villages, you’ll arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon. Upon arrival, you’ll check in and have time to relax, enjoy the surroundings, and prepare for the adventures that lie ahead. Dinner will be served at the lodge, followed by a peaceful overnight stay.

Morning game drive and afternoon Nile boat cruise

Start your day with an early breakfast before heading out for a thrilling morning game drive as the sun rises, the park comes alive with wildlife activity. With your experienced guide leading the way, you’ll have the opportunity to spot a wide range of animals, including lions, elephants, hartebeest, buffaloes, giraffes. The game drive offers the best chance to observe these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. After an exhilarating morning, return to the lodge to relax and enjoy a leisurely lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll embark on a boat cruise along the Nile River, one of the highlights of the Murchison Falls experience. As you cruise towards the base of the falls, keep your eyes peeled for the abundant wildlife along the riverbanks, including hippos, Nile crocodiles, and a variety of water birds.

As the day winds down, return to the lodge for a relaxing evening, where you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay, reflecting on the incredible wildlife encounters of the day.

Visting the top of the falls and drive back to Kampala

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast before setting off to explore one of the most iconic features of Murchison Falls National Park—the top of the falls. Our guide will drive you to this breathtaking viewpoint, where you’ll witness the Nile River forcefully squeezing through a narrow 7-meter gorge before plunging 45 meters into the tumultuous waters below. The sight, sound of the rushing water is truly awe-inspiring, offering a perfect photo opportunity and a moment to appreciate the raw power of nature.

After this experience, you’ll begin your journey back to Kampala. You’ll stop in Masindi for a relaxing lunch, giving you a chance to stretch your legs and enjoy local cuisine. Following lunch, the drive continues through Uganda’s scenic countryside, with an expected arrival in Kampala by late afternoon or early evening.

Upon reaching Kampala, you will be dropped off at a location of your choice, marking the end of your incredible 3-day adventure in Murchison Falls National Park.
