Day 1

Nairobi to Tsavo East National Park

Nairobi to Tsavo East National Park

On the first day of the safari, you will be picked up from the airport or hotel by Balu Travel driver-guide. Then, you will embark on your drive to Tsavo East National Park which takes approximately 6-7 hours.
Tsavo East National Park is a popular tourist destination situated in the semi-arid area of Taru Desert near the town of Voi in Taita Taveta County. Tsavo East National Park is famous for hosting a large population of lions and red elephants which get their color from the red dust they roll in. You will arrive in the park in time for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will depart the lodge for an evening game drive. Here, you will get a chance to see different wild animals, especially giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and lots of elephants. If you're lucky, you'll see the big cats. Later, you'll return to the lodge for dinner and rest at the lodge.

Meal plan: Full board (lunch, water, and dinner).

Day 2

On day two you will have morning and afternoon game drives in the captivating wilderness of Tsavo East. You might witness the majestic sight of dust-red elephants playfully wallowing and spraying each other with water from the palm-shaded Galana River, creating a scene straight out of a safari dream.

Tsavo East National Park is a popular protected area for hosting a large population of man-eaters (lions). On the drive, you will see many animals such as a pride of lions, red elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, lesser kudus, gerenuks, waterbucks, and many more. You will head back to the lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will return for another game drive. Later, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.

Later, you will depart for Nairobi to arrive in the afternoon.

This marks the end of your Tsavo tour.
