Dar es Salaam/Zanzibar to Arusha Tarangire National Park

In the morning, you will board a flight from Zanzibar /Dar to Arusha, followed by a scenic two-hour drive to the magnificent Tarangire National Park and head towards Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. In the afternoon, you will pause for a picnic lunch amidst the park's stunning scenery. After lunch, the adventure continues with more wildlife sightings until the evening. You will then exit the park and proceed to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Tarangire National Park is often referred to as the "playground of elephants" due to its large elephant population. During the dry season, the park becomes a haven for buffalo, lions, wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles. Along the shores of Lake Barungi, a variety of mammals gather to drink, while bird enthusiasts will be delighted by sightings of species such as kingfishers, hoopoes, and the white-bellied go-away bird. The park’s landscape features rolling savannahs, acacia woodlands, and the iconic baobab trees.

Ngorongoro Crater

The magnificent Ngorongoro Crater is often referred to as the "Eighth Natural Wonder of the World." Formed over 2 million years ago from the eruption of the Ngorongoro volcano, the crater’s 600-meter-high walls enclose a unique and diverse ecosystem, spanning 19 kilometers. Its landscapes range from lush acacia forests to hippo-filled swamps and expansive grasslands.

The crater is home to over 30,000 animals, including elephants, warthogs, flamingos, black rhinoceros, and a variety of predatory cats. You may also encounter Maasai herders grazing their livestock alongside herds of buffalos and wildebeest. A delightful lunch will be served with breathtaking views of the crater before retiring. In the late afternoon, you’ll return to Arusha and continue to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your return flight to Zanzibar, concluding your safari adventure.
