Upon your arrival, our professional driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to Summit Lodge. Take your time to explore the beauty of Arusha city, starting at the Clock Tower (the midpoint between Cairo, Egypt, and Cape Town, South Africa). You can stroll to the Maasai Market, visit the Arusha Declaration monument and museum, and explore the central market to learn about various African spices, vegetables, and fruits. Don't miss the Arusha City bus terminal, and later, we'll drive to the Cultural Heritage Centre for some souvenir shopping.

Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Today marks the start of your safari adventure! You’ll be picked up from your hotel or lodge in Arusha and set off for a full-day game drive in Tarangire National Park, complete with a picnic lunch. Tanzania's third-largest national park is renowned for its impressive baobab trees that tower over the animals feeding below. The Tarangire River serves as the heart of the park, famous for hosting some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. During your game drive, you may encounter lions, leopards, cheetahs, lesser kudu, buffalo, oryx, eland, giraffes, and zebras. After an exciting day, you’ll return to your lodge for a delicious dinner.

Day 3

Game drive in Ngorongoro crater

On this day of your safari, you’ll have an early start. After a quick breakfast, you’ll descend into the crater floor. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera, covering about 260 square kilometers and reaching depths of over 2,000 feet. Your 5-hour game drive on the crater floor will reveal plenty of wildlife, so keep your camera ready! You can expect to see African elephants, buffalo, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions in abundance. After enjoying a picnic lunch at the scenic hippo pool, you'll begin your steep ascent to the top of the crater. This marks the final leg of your safari as you drive back to Arusha.

You will be picked up from the hotel in Arusha. First you will visit the waterfalls. On the way, trail can be slippery & muddy best to have good hiking boots. The views are truly breathtaking, with some luck you will see the summit of Kilimanjaro. The waterfall is more than 80 meters high. The pool at the bottom is an inviting place for a refreshing swim so don‘t forget your swimwear. After having enjoyed the scenery, you slowly return for a traditional lunch. Coffee experience awaits you. Learn how coffee is cultivated, dried, roasted and further processed. You will also be invited to help with them grinding of the coffee, which is traditionally accompanied by songs and dances. You can savour the coffee you made and appreciate the views of the surrounding rainforest.
