Day 1

Manyara national park

Manyara national park

Upon arrival we will make our way directly to the spectacular Lake Manyara National Park, considered one of Tanzania's most captivating parks. A large part of the park is dominated by Lake Manyara, a shallow alkaline lake that attracts a diverse array of wildlife and bird species. Here, you'll be able to see thousands of flamingos elegantly lining the shores, creating a vivid and stunning scene.

Lake Manyara is often called a birdwatcher's paradise, home to over 500 species of both resident and migratory birds. As we explore the park, keep an eye out for elephants, buffaloes roaming the woodlands, and the iconic giraffes that roam the acacia-filled plains. The park is also known for its famous tree-climbing lions, as well as warthogs, impalas, gazelles, Klipspringers, and both lesser and greater flamingos along the lake’s edge.

Off to Tarangire National Park

After a hearty breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, we will depart early for Tarangire National Park. Located in Tanzania's northern circuit, Tarangire is a stunning haven famous for its towering baobab trees and impressive elephant herds.

The name "Tarangire" is derived from the Mbugwe language, where "Tara" means river and "ngire" refers to a warthog, thus translating to "the river of warthogs."

During our exploration of the park, you'll have the opportunity to encounter a wide variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, hippos, zebras, antelopes, and gazelles. Be amazed as graceful giraffes feed on tall, thorny trees, often alongside buffalo and wildebeest. Bird enthusiasts will also enjoy spotting beautiful species such as crested francolins, yellow-necked sparrows, and steppe eagles.

Savor a delightful lunch in the park, followed by more game viewing, before we head to your luxury lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
