Flight from Zanzibar to Arusha Airport / Transfer Game Drive to Southern Serengeti National Park

Today, you will take a morning flight at 08:00 AM from Zanzibar to Arusha. Upon arrival at Arusha Airport at 09:30 AM, you will be warmly welcomed by our driver-guide. After a brief orientation, you will begin your drive to Serengeti National Park, specifically to the southern part known as Ndutu. Along the way, you will stop at the Olduvai Gorge Museum, where you'll have the opportunity to take photos.

Southern Serengeti provides the best wildlife viewing during the green season, which is from December to March. Ndutu is located in the southern part of the Serengeti plains, where around 8,000 wildebeest babies are born every day. It is the best place to spot six species of cats—leopard, lion, cheetah, caracal, African wildcat—and other wildlife species.

After lunch, you'll continue your wildlife-viewing drive to witness the wildlife of Ndutu. Afterward, you'll head to your lodgings, a permanent tented camp in the midst of the wilderness for dinner and an overnight stay.

Southern Serengeti National Park (Spotting Calving and Big Cats)

After breakfast, you will spend the entire day on a game drive in the Southern Serengeti, specifically in the Ndutu area. You will visit Lake Ndutu, an alkaline lake, but its water is still drinkable and used by a wide variety of local wildlife. From December to April, the majority of the wildebeest migration typically takes place on the grazing plains. This area is often filled with elephants, birds, and predators.

In the evening, you will drive to your accommodation located near the Ngorongoro Crater, where you will enjoy dinner and relax overnight. We have arranged this accommodation to avoid a long drive and to give you ample time to explore the Crater.

Once there, you'll embark on a full-day game drive tour of the Crater, enjoying a picnic lunch along the way. In the afternoon, you will drive to Arusha Airport for your 4:30 PM flight back to Zanzibar. Upon arrival at 5:30 PM, you will be greeted by our driver, who will transfer you to your hotel.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site recognized for both its natural beauty and cultural significance. Once you descend into the Crater, you will have an excellent opportunity to spot the Big Five, including a pride of lions, herds of buffalo, elephants, leopards, and black rhinos.
