Day 1

You’ll begin your journey with a flight from Zanzibar to Arusha Airport, where a driver will meet you for an exciting game drive in Tarangire National Park. As you enter the park, you'll be captivated by the stunning landscape, characterized by majestic baobab trees amidst acacia woodlands, providing a breathtaking backdrop for large herds of African elephants.

In addition to elephants, you'll have the chance to spot an array of wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, black-backed jackals, Kirk’s dik-dik, dwarf and banded mongooses, impalas, Beisa oryx, Steinboks, and African hares. Expect to see buffalos, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and waterbucks as well. Birdwatchers will delight in the diverse avian life, which may include the Maasai ostrich, white-headed vulture, African scoop owl, and the endemic ashy starling.

Day 2

Ngorongoro crater

Ngorongoro crater

After an early breakfast, you’ll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, embarking on a quest to spot the elusive black rhino, one of the hardest animals to find. Inside this breathtaking crater, you’ll encounter a rich array of wildlife, often described as Africa’s version of “Noah’s Ark,” featuring elephants, hyenas, big cats, rhinos, and more.

In the afternoon, you’ll stop for lunch at Hippo Lake, followed by another exciting game drive as you make your way back up to the crater rim. After returning to the lodge to check out, you’ll drive to Arusha Airport for your afternoon flight back to Zanzibar.
