Day 1

The pick-up will be from either; the Hotel or from the Entebbe Airport upon arrival. The assigned Professional English-speaking guide will receive you and hit the road to Lake Mburo National Park.
Lake Mburo is a compact gem, located conveniently close to the highway that connects Entebbe/Kampala to the parks of western Uganda. It is the smallest of Uganda’s savannah National Parks but home to 350 bird species as well as animals such as: Giraffes, Zebra, impala, eland, buffalo, Defassa waterbuck, hippo, and the elusive leopard among others.
On arrival, we shall check in and if we still have some time available, we can proceed for a boat trip. Otherwise, we shall check in and have the evening at leisure – relaxing.

Day 2

Morning game drive and transfer to Bwindi NP

Enjoy your breakfast as early as possible then proceed for an exciting morning game drive in the park. Expect to see the gigantic eland antelope, zebras in big numbers, topi, impalas, Buffaloes and other savannah animals. Alternatively, you may choose the morning bush/park walk (at extra cost USD 30 pp) in the presence of an armed ranger-guide. You will return to your accommodation then check out and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable NP.
Bwindi NP is a big habitat for mountain gorillas in Uganda (harboring over 300 mountain gorillas – roughly half of the world’s population), including several habituated groups, which can be trekked. With a strenuous day ahead, you will do less on arrival but just check in your accommodation, relax as you prepare for the Bwindi gorilla trekking experience the next morning.

Day 3

Have breakfast and move to the ranger station. You will receive some briefing on the dos and don’ts during gorilla trekking. Thereafter, you will enter the Bwindi Forest for your adventure. The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular! The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates.
Once you have located a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The time with these gentle but endangered giants is unforgettable. From the trek, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is framed by lush, green-terraced hills that reach a height of (2,200 – 2,478m) but it’s the 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it most magical — you could admire them all day. You will explore some of the iconic islands this evening on a motor boat with a local guide.

You will have a relaxed breakfast with spectacular view of the Bunyonyi little islands just right in front of you. Thereafter, you will hit the road for the return to Entebbe (arriving in the late afternoon/evening) for your departure. Thank you for choosing and travelling with us.
#Optional (extra cost): If having a late-night departure, you may consider a canoe trek on Bunyonyi before departing for Entebbe.
