Day 1

Upon landing at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to Kariminu River camp which is located about 45mins away from Airport on your safari route to avoid back tracking.
The camp is located along Kariminu River creating a very calm atmosphere where you will only hear birds singing and the flowing waters. This gives you a very calm night to rest in preparation for the safari ahead. If you are a bird enthusiast, you will have several to tick from your checklist. You are also likely to spot a crested porcupine.

Day 2

Thika to Meru National Park

Thika to Meru National Park

After a sumptuous breakfast at Kariminu River camp, we embark for a 4 hours trip to Meru National Park. This a less crowded park giving an opportunity for the wildlife to thrive and nature smiles at you on arrival.
You will arrive at Ikweta Safari camp for lunch.
After lunch, familiarize yourself with the new environment before embarking for your afternoon game drive.
The park teems with a variety of wildlife species including elephant, Grevy’s zebra, lion, cheetah, leopard, hartebeest, hippo, buffalo and the reticulated giraffe among others. Meru hosts a rhino sanctuary that is home to the endangered black and white rhino species. Critically endangered, the rhinos are under a twenty-four hour surveillance. The sanctuary offers one of the best rhino viewing experiences in the wild.

Day 3

After an early morning breakfast, proceed to the park for an early morning game drive ready to spot animals before the day gets hot. This a very good time to spot animals.
You will then return to the camp for lunch and brief rest before embarking on an afternoon game drive ready to spot more animals not seen so far.

Day 4

Meru to Samburu National Reserve

On this day, we take breakfast and leave for Samburu National Reserve which is around 3 hours drive. Check in for lunch at Samburu Sopa lodge which will be our home for the next 2 nights.
After a sumptuous lunch at the lodge, familiarize yourself with the new environment before we explore the park and see what it has to offer.
This is one of the parks with great animal density and undisturbed environment giving a great experience and value for your money.
In addition to the Big 5, you will also spot many other animals including the rare species of Northern Kenya which includes; Reticulated Giraffe, Beisa Oryx, Gerenuk, Somali ostrich and Gravy Zebra.

An early morning game drive before breakfast gives you an very good opportunity to explore the park when the sun rays are yet to send the shy animals from your reach. Explore for 2 hours and then return to the lodge for your breakfast. If you wish to return for a mid-morning game drive, feel free to.
Alternatively, you can opt to enjoy the swimming before lunch.
After lunch, enjoy another game drive until sunset.

Day 6

Samburu to Nairobi

Samburu to Nairobi

After breakfast, you will enjoy your last game drive and then drive back to Nairobi.
You will stop along the way for lunch depending on your flight timing.
After lunch we will drop you at the airport for your flight back home or at a Nairobi hotel if you are extending your stay in our beautiful country.
