Explore the Countryside
On Day 2 of your trip, you will first visit the southernmost source of the river Nile. This source is located in Burundi, near the town of Rutovu. It is a significant site as the Nile is the longest river in the world, and it is fascinating to see where it begins its journey from this remote location.
After visiting the source of the Nile, you will head to the stunning Karera waterfall. This waterfall is located in the Karera Forest, surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful scenery. On Day 3, you will start your day by visiting the Gishora Royal Drums Sanctuary. This cultural site is a collection of ancient drums that were historically used in ceremonies by the Burundian monarchy. You will have the opportunity to learn about the significance of these drums and their role in the country's cultural heritage. You will also witness a traditional drumming performance during your visit.
After exploring the drums sanctuary, you will head to the Teza Tea Plantation for a guided tour. Here, you will learn about the process of tea production and have the chance to sample some freshly brewed tea. The plantation is set in a scenic location, so you can enjoy a leisurely stroll through the tea fields and take in the beautiful surroundings.

Bujumbura City Tour - Late Departure
This day begins with a tour of Bujumbura, the capital city of Burundi. The tour will include visits to various landmarks and attractions, such as the Independence Monument and the Presidential Palace.
One of the highlights of the city tour may be a boat ride in Rusizi National Park. This park, located at the northern tip of Lake Tanganyika, is known for its diverse wildlife and beautiful scenery. During the boat ride, visitors may have the opportunity to see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species.
