On Day 3, you will start your day by visiting the Gishora Royal Drums Sanctuary. After exploring the drums sanctuary, you will head to the Teza Tea Plantation for a guided tour. Here, you will learn about the process of tea production and have the chance to sample some freshly brewed tea. One of the highlights of the city tour may be a boat ride in Rusizi National Park. This park, located at the northern tip of Lake Tanganyika, is known for its diverse wildlife and beautiful scenery. During the boat ride, visitors may have the opportunity to see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species.
After the city tour and optional boat ride, lunch will be served at a local restaurant where travelers can sample traditional Burundian dishes.
