Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary

After an early breakfast, head out for your chimpanzee trekking experience in Kibale National Park, home to over 1,500 chimpanzees. With the help of expert guides, hike through the dense forest and encounter these incredible primates in their natural habitat. Watch as they swing through the trees, socialize, and go about their day. The trek lasts 2-4 hours, depending on the chimps’ location.

After lunch back at Crater Safari Lodge, enjoy a relaxing afternoon with an optional visit to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a haven for birdlife, primates, and unique plant species. This guided nature walk offers a chance to spot other wildlife like monkeys and colorful birds. Return to the lodge for a delightful dinner and evening at leisure.
