Drive to Murchison Falls National Park

Your luxurious 3-day safari begins with a scenic drive from Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park. Enjoy picturesque landscapes, rolling hills, and vibrant rural life as you travel through Uganda's beautiful countryside. After approximately 4-5 hours, stop in Masindi for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant to refuel for the journey ahead.

Upon arrival at Murchison Falls National Park, check in at Paraa Safari Lodge, where you’ll be greeted with breathtaking views of the Nile River and the surrounding wilderness. If you arrive early, you will have the chance to embark on an afternoon game drive, exploring the park’s diverse wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, and various antelope species. After the game drive, return to the lodge to relax and enjoy a delicious dinner, preparing for the exciting adventures that await you in the days to come.

Start your day with an early breakfast at Paraa Safari Lodge before heading out for a thrilling morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. As the sun rises, take advantage of the cooler temperatures to spot a variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, and buffaloes, as well as a diverse array of bird species. Your knowledgeable guide will share insights about the park’s ecosystem and wildlife.

After an exciting morning in the bush, return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, set off on a scenic boat cruise along the Nile River, taking you to the base of the magnificent Murchison Falls. Enjoy beautiful views as the river cascades over the cliffs, and keep an eye out for hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife along the banks.

Return to Paraa Safari Lodge in the evening for dinner, where you can unwind and share stories of the day’s adventures.

Top of the falls

On your final day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast at Paraa Safari Lodge before checking out. Begin your morning with a drive to the top of Murchison Falls, where you’ll witness the Nile River forcefully squeezing through a narrow gorge, creating one of the world’s most powerful waterfalls. Take in the breathtaking views, feel the mist on your face, and capture memorable photos of this natural wonder.

After exploring the falls, start your journey back to Entebbe or Kampala, stopping for lunch en route with an option of visiting the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. You should be able to arrive in Entebbe in the early evening.
