Day 1

Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Early morning departure from Nairobi for an interesting drive eastwards, enjoying breathtaking scenery of open plains and rural villages just after leaving the Metropolitan district. Our drive heads south of the Athi basin passing through the towns of Machakos, Salama and Sultan Hamud. A short mid-morning break for bathroom and refreshments is scheduled at Emali.
Proceed southwards through the Masai plains of Meruesh and Ibilkan to finally arrive at our splendid lodge in good time for lunch. After check in, enjoy some time familiarizing with the new surroundings.
Our first game drive in Amboseli starts by visiting numerous swamps dotting the park where big concentrations of elephants and hundreds of other grazing herbivores are found. Game drive pace is unhurried searching for best game opportunities and capturing scenic views of Mount Kilimanjaro that forms a beautiful backdrop of this marvelous park.
Game drive lasts until sunset when we return to camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2

Amboseli National Park full exploration

Enjoy an early breakfast while observing a beautiful sunrise and a clear morning scenic view of Mount Kilimanjaro.
We leave our lodge with packed lunch to spend an entire day inside the park, this day presents great opportunities for watching animals closely and capturing their best photographs against the dominant snow capped Mount Kilimanjaro. Our focus is to visit the numerous swamps where elephants and other wildlife like to concentrate for food and mud bathing, prolific birdlife in this areas is also awe inspiring. We shall also be looking out for a number of predators found in this Park. Our lunch today will be at the observation hill, the highest point in the reserve offering a beautiful 360 degrees view of the entire reserve. We embark on a return game drive shortly after lunch with an option of visiting a community village for a cultural interaction {extra cost}. Return to lodge in the evening to enjoy a bonfire, dinner and a peaceful night after a marvelous day in the park.

Day 3

Amboseli to Lake Naivasha

Wake up to spectacular scenes of the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro on a clear morning. After enjoying early breakfast, depart for Lake Naivasha on a relaxed drive through Nairobi, cutting across a scenic country side. We make a scheduled stop at the wall of the Great Escarpment a monumental geological formation dating millions of years. Proceed on to arrive our Lakeside camp in good time for lunch. After a brief relaxation embark on an optional afternoon boat ride {extra cost} for an exciting exploration of the Lake and it's surroundings. Come to close proximity with a pod of hippos and watch a variety of water birds including the African fish eagle, cormorants, geese among others, spot Giraffes, Zebras, water-buck, buffalo, gazelles and other herbivores from the comfort of your boat. Excursion in this birdwatcher's paradise lasts for about 2 hours when you return to the mainland amidst a golden sunset gliding slowly in the horizons. We return to our camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4

Breakfast in Naivasha followed by morning departure to the world famous Masai Mara game reserve. Our drive takes us through Longonot and Mai Mahiu rural villages. We then proceed on to the floor of the great Rift valley, driving through Narok town, an emerging business center, struggling to entangle itself from Masai culture and dominance. We arrive at our Enkorok Mara tented camp in good time for lunch and check in. Part of the afternoon will be at leisure before embarking on our first game drive in this sprawling park famous for it's Masai people, large number of predators and the annual wildebeest migration phenomenon. It is one of the few places where all of the “Big Five’” are found. The park also boasts over 450 species of birds and rare species like roan antelopes and the nocturnal bat-eared fox. Get to see the colorful lilac-breasted roller Kenya’s national bird and witness breathtaking sunsets. Dinner and Overnight at the camp.

Breakfast in Masai Mara is served from 6:30am, followed by our 9:30am departure for Nairobi, We shall be having an exciting drive passing through the great Rift valley while enjoying great scenery and beautiful landmarks including Mt. Suswa and Mt. Longonot, A brief stop for a picnic or hot lunch stop is scheduled in Narok or Mai Mahiu. We shall then proceed on to our Nairobi hotel or straight to the Airport arriving by sunset. This marks the end of our 6 days naked wilderness exploration safari full of sheer excitement and great memories.
