Day 1

After an early breakfast in Arusha, you'll set off on a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, taking in the traditional Maasai steppes and the sight of local Maasai herding cattle along the way. After approximately two hours, you'll arrive at Tarangire, known for its impressive elephant herds, earning it the nickname "Home of Elephants." The park's iconic baobab trees add to its unique landscape. After several hours of exploration, you'll enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic site before continuing your afternoon game drive. In the evening, you'll exit the park and head to your lodge for dinner and a restful overnight stay.

After breakfast, you'll embark on your journey to Ngorongoro Ndutu, a key part of the annual migration route for hundreds of thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes, along with their predators. This vibrant ecosystem thrives from December to April, depending on the rains, as these animals come to graze and give birth. The forests around Lake Ndutu and the small koppies are also home to a wealth of resident wildlife. Starting in January, you’ll witness the exciting onset of the wildebeest calving season. Your day will conclude with dinner and an overnight stay at kontiki ndutu Camp.

As the day unfolds, you’ll soak in the beauty of this vibrant ecosystem. In the evening, you’ll head to your Ngorongoro accommodation for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 4

On the final day of your safari, an early start awaits. After a quick breakfast at your accommodation or with a packed meal, you'll embark on a morning game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world. During your 5-hour exploration of the crater floor, you can look forward to numerous captivating wildlife encounters. Keep your camera ready to capture the stunning array of animals, including African elephants, buffalos, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, and lions.

After the game drive, you'll begin the steep ascent towards the crater's exit, marking the last leg of your safari. A scenic drive of approximately four hours will bring you back to Arusha. In the evening, you'll be dropped off at your preferred location in Arusha or transferred to the airport based on your arrangements.
