Northern Serengeti National Park
Your safari begins after breakfast, where you'll spend the day observing animals in their natural environment at different locations within the Serengeti. You'll witness the spectacle of large migrating herds, along with lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, antelopes, and a variety of bird species and indigenous trees. The migration of over a million wildebeest, the largest mammal migration on earth, is a highlight. This journey aligns with the growth of nutrient-rich grasses on the short-grass plains during the wet season, making it a safe area for calving due to easy predator detection. As the plains dry out, the wildebeest migrate to the western corridor in search of greener pastures, while the northern part of the ecosystem receives the most rainfall, though the grasses there are less nutritious.
