Day 1

You will depart from the hotel at Arusha at 08:30 and drive to the Momella Gate, the starting point of your trek. The journey takes approximately an hour and a half. After registration, you’ll begin your hike, accompanied by an armed ranger. Along the way, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the Momella Lakes, and you may encounter wildlife such as cape buffaloes, giraffes, warthogs, and bushbucks. Your trek will conclude at Miriakamba Hut, where you’ll spend the night.

Day 2

Miriakamba Hut(2500m) to Saddle Hut (3500m)

Today's trek follows a steep path along the ridge of the saddle, offering stunning views of the Meru crater, the ash cone, and Little Meru. As you make your way through the forest, keep an eye out for wildlife and beautiful wildflowers. You might spot buffaloes and the striking black-and-white Colobus monkeys. The trek concludes at Saddle Hut, where you'll spend the night. After some rest, you'll embark on a one-hour acclimatization trek to Little Meru (3,810 m) before returning to Saddle Hut.

Day 3

We begin our ascent early at around 12:30 a.m., climbing steeply to Rhino Point (3,800 m) and continuing on to Cobra Point (4,350 m). We aim to reach the summit (4,566 m) in time for sunrise, where you may catch a glimpse of Kilimanjaro Peak rising above the clouds. The final stretch of the climb features a breathtaking narrow ridge that runs between the sheer inner cliffs and the sloping outer wall of the crater.
