Nairobi to Samburu

The safari can start and/or finish in Nairobi, Mombasa, or Diani.

You will be picked up early at 7:30 am from your hotel or airport. After a briefing by one of our representatives, your journey starts via the Central highlands tea plantations, crossing the Equator at the foot of snow-peaked Mount Kenya. You will have a brief stop at the Equator crossing point and a photo session. You will proceed with your journey and arrive in time for check-in. Lunch will be at your camp or lodge in Samburu. After lunch, you will proceed for an afternoon game drive until sunset, when you return to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Samburu

Start with an early morning game-viewing drive in search of the diverse wildlife in this region. You will have a chance to spot lions, elephants, leopards, hyenas, buffaloes, antelopes, and baboons, including the Samburu Special 5, and a wide variety of bird species. Return to the lodge for breakfast, relaxation and lunch. After lunch, you will embark on an afternoon game-viewing drive. In the evening, you will return to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Samburu to Ol Pejeta

After breakfast, check out and depart for Ol Pejeta Conservancy. You will arrive at your lodge or camp in time for check-in and lunch. After lunch, you embark on an afternoon game drive within Ol Pejeta Conservancy, which is well known for rhino conservation. You have a chance to spot the big cats, rhinos, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and other wild game within Ol Pejeta. At sunset, you will return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Ol Pejeta to Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, you depart for Lake Naivasha with an en-route game-viewing drive and a visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary. You will arrive in time for check-in and lunch at your lodge or camp. After lunch, you may opt for an afternoon boat ride around Lake Naivasha, spotting massive hippos as they emerge and submerge into the waters of the lake and spot an African fish eagle gliding over the waters hunting for fish. At sunset, you will return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, you will check out and depart for Amboseli National Park via small but vibrant towns. Arrive at Amboseli in time for check-in and lunch. After lunch, you will embark on an afternoon game-viewing drive. Amboseli is well known for its large herds of elephants and the backdrop view of Mount Kilimanjaro – the highest mountain in Africa. At sunset, you will head for your lodge or camp to arrive in time for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, you will check out and depart for Taita Hills Conservancy. Arrive at your lodge - Saltlick Game Lodge, the most photographed safari lodge. The lodge sits on stilts, offering great aerial views of wildlife coming to drink from the waterhole. After lunch, embark on an afternoon game-viewing drive until sunset, when you return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Taita Hills to Nairobi, Mombasa or Diani

Start with an early morning game-viewing drive, then return to the lodge for breakfast and check out. Thereafter, you depart for Nairobi. You may end the safari in Diani or Mombasa with an extension of a few days at the beach. Lunch will be for your own account before being transferred to the hotel or airport for your international flight. You will return with many safari memories to take back home.
