Transfer to Bukavu, DR Congo
After an early breakfast at your hotel in Kigali, you will meet your driver-guide and be transferred to Bukavu in Congo the capital city of the South Kivu Province via Nyungwe Forest National Park. You'll arrive late in the afternoon and transfer to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Lowland Gorilla trekking in Kahuzi Biega National Park
After an early breakfast, you'll transfer to the Kahuzi Biega national park to begin the trekking. Trekking for 2 to 3 hours in the mountainous jungle area of Kahuzi Biega National Park, to find the large lowland gorilla family. The species here are Eastern lowland gorillas, very different from the more famous mountain gorillas found in the Virunga National Park. Unlike the chimpanzee-like lowland gorillas found in Gabon and Congo Brazzaville, the Kahuzi Biega gorillas are large, about the size of the mountain gorilla, so you definitely won’t be disappointed. Late in the afternoon, you will be transferred to your hotel in Bukavu.

Transfer to Kigali, City tour
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kigali for a city tour before your driven to your hotel for an overnight stay.
History and culture are evident everywhere you look and a city tour should be number one on your list, no matter how long you are staying for.
Highlights include the Inema Art Centre, a contemporary gallery showcasing work from East and Central Africa, the museum of natural history, the iconic Milles Collines hotel, and Kimironko Market, where you can spend your pennies on everything from fruit to fabrics, cookware to clothing. For a quick break in between, pop into Question for a cup of the good stuff and a glimpse into Rwanda’s booming industry.
A stay in Kigali shouldn’t pass by without a visit to the Genocide Memorial. A necessary and sobering reminder of the country’s tumultuous history, it’s also a reminder of its bright future and the resilience of all who live here.

Connect to Nairobi from Kigali
You will be transferred from your lodge and driven to Kigali International Airport for your flight to Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve
Early in the morning after breakfast, we'll drive through the view point of the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve.
This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration. It is home to the Big Five: lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhino.
On arrival, have lunch at the lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon game drive. The Mara National Reserve is one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see. The wild animals found in the park are: Masai giraffe, buffalo, eland and thousands of plain game including impala, zebra, both Thomson’s and Grants gazelles. Dinner and your overnight are at the lodge.

Full safari in the Mara Plains
This is a full day spent viewing the great predators and exploring the parks amazingly high concentration of wild animals. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs.
During our stay we'll have an optional opportunity to visit a village of the Maasai people to witness the singing and dancing that is part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience. Dinner and your overnight stay are at the lodge.

Safari in Masai Mara Savanna Plains
Today’s program is also very flexible; you can choose between three options.
Option 1: You will have breakfast and exit the lodge with a packed lunch for a whole day game drive at the Mara Reserve, searching for the Big Five and other animals.
Option 2: You may opt to have an early morning game drive in search of the big cat and the killings, you will return for breakfast, freshen up, and spend the rest of the mid-morning at your leisure, either swimming in the pool or just relaxing. Later, you'll have lunch and proceed for the evening game drive in search for the Big Five and other animals.
Option 3: You'll go on for an optional hot air balloon ride (USD 450pp) in the early morning, followed by mid-morning game drives before driving to the lodge for lunch. Later, you'll have an afternoon game drive together with an optional Masai village visit.
After the game drive, you will head to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park
Have an early morning game drive. Then return to the lodge for breakfast and depart for Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley. After lunch, enjoy an exciting game drive until 6.30 pm in the evening.
The park is a home to stunning flocks of Lesser and Greater flamingoes, which literally turn the lakeshores in to a magnificent pink stretch. The birdlife here is world renown and over 400 birds species exist here, white pelicans, plovers, egrets and marabou stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the white and black rhino and rare Rothschild giraffe.
Dinner and your overnight stay are at the hotel/lodge.

Transfer to Nairobi
On our last day, there is a brief morning game drive into Lake Nakuru National Park following a delicious breakfast at lodge. After breakfast, our Safari guide would take you back to Nairobi. Our clients enjoy en-route sight seeing with optimum pauses for photo sessions and wildlife viewing. Our tour guide will drop you off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and with that, our journey through Kenya's famous Masai Mara and lowland gorilla trekking in DR. Congo comes to an end.
