Our dedicated, knowledgeable and friendly tour guide will pick you up from your designated address or the airport. You will first enjoy a brief city tour before setting off towards the enchanting Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the renowned haven of the majestic Mountain Gorillas in Uganda with lunch enroute. Upon arrival at the lodge, check-in and eagerly anticipate the day dedicated to tracking these fascinating creatures.

If time allows, you will take a community walk in the Bwindi area and interact with locals that have managed to live peacefully with the gorillas.

Day 2

Gorilla Tracking and Batwa Pygmies Experience

The day begins with an early morning start, followed by a hearty breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing on the gorilla tracking experience.

The tracking itself can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas and the difficulty of the terrain. Once the gorillas are found, visitors will have the opportunity to spend 1 hour observing and photographing these incredible animals in their natural environment.

After the gorilla trekking, guests will return to their lodge to relax and rejuvenate before heading out to visit the local pygmy community. This cultural experience offers insight into the traditional way of life of the indigenous people of the area.

Today, your knowledgeable driver guide will collect you from your lodge and whisk you away to the charming town of Musanze, located near Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda, the starting point for your Mt. Bisoke hiking expedition.

Upon arrival, settle into your hotel, gearing up for tomorrow's adventurous ascent. Later, after lunch, delve into the rich cultural tapestry of Rwanda with a captivating visit to the Iby'iwachu Cultural Centre. Immerse yourself in an array of cultural activities, learning about Rwandese traditions, history, and customs.

Embark on an early morning adventure by fueling up with a hearty breakfast, packing a lunch and water for the journey ahead. Drive to the park offices for a comprehensive briefing before proceeding to the trailhead for the exhilarating Mt. Bisoke hike. Standing tall at 3,711m, this dormant volcano boasts a stunning crater lake at its summit.

The ascent will challenge you for about 4 hours, leading you through varying vegetation zones from lush Bamboo forests to Hagenia and Lobelia bushes. Consider the assistance of a porter for a smoother trekking experience.

After conquering the summit, enjoy a scenic descent back to the lodge for a well-deserved lunch. As the day winds down, head back to Kigali for your departure or opt to be dropped off at your chosen lodging facility.
