This morning, take a flight to Morondava, where your local guide will welcome you for a two-hour drive to Kirindy Reserve. En route, stop at the iconic Avenue of the Baobabs to admire and photograph these ancient trees.
Upon arrival at Kirindy, embark on an afternoon walk through the dry deciduous forest, home to the Verreaux’s sifaka, giant jumping rat, and diverse birdlife. As night falls, enjoy a nocturnal walk, where you may encounter mouse lemurs, leaf-tailed geckos, and the elusive fossa, Madagascar’s top predator.
After an exciting wildlife experience, settle into your lodge near the reserve for an overnight stay, surrounded by the sounds of nature.

Today, with your local guide, you will explore Kirindy Reserve, a dry deciduous forest renowned for its exceptional biodiversity. This protected area is home to eight lemur species, including the Verreaux’s sifaka, known for its graceful, dancing leaps. You may also spot the red-fronted brown lemur and the rare Madagascar giant jumping rat.
Kirindy is the best place to see the fossa, Madagascar’s top predator, often found roaming the forest. Bird enthusiasts can look for the crested drongo, giant coua, and white-breasted mesite, while reptile lovers may encounter colorful chameleons and the well-camouflaged leaf-tailed gecko.

After an early breakfast, depart from Kirindy Reserve and begin your journey to Bekopaka, the gateway to Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park. The drive takes you through remote landscapes, offering glimpses of rural Madagascar.
Midway, you will cross the Tsiribihina River on a traditional pontoon ferry, an experience in itself as you watch locals navigating the waters. Upon reaching Belo-sur-Tsiribihina, enjoy a lunch stop before continuing on the rugged, dusty road to Bekopaka. Depending on the season, the route may be muddy, adding to the adventure.
Upon arrival in Bekopaka, take the rest of the day to relax and unwind after the long drive, preparing for the exploration of the Tsingy the following day.

This morning, depart from Bekopaka and begin the drive back to Morondava, retracing your route through Madagascar’s wild landscapes. Midway, stop in Belo-sur-Tsiribihina for lunch before crossing the Tsiribihina River once again by pontoon ferry.
As you approach Morondava, enjoy a magical stop at the Avenue of the Baobabs to witness the sunset casting golden hues over these ancient trees—one of Madagascar’s most iconic sights. After capturing this breathtaking moment, continue to your hotel in Morondava for a well-deserved rest.
