Upon arriving in Bwindi in the afternoon, you will settle into your accommodation and then embark on the fascinating Batwa Cultural trail. Gorilla Trekking & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Start your day with an early morning breakfast before heading to the Park's headquarters for a briefing on the gorilla trekking rules. Trek through thick creepers with your knowledgeable guide to search for the elusive gorillas, a journey that can range from 2 to 6 hours. The dense, forested landscape is crisscrossed with animal trails, providing tourists with access to these magnificent creatures. Spend 1 hour with the gorillas once you find them before making your way to Lake Bunyonyi.

The drive to Lake Bunyonyi will take you through a stunning part of the country often likened to ‘the Switzerland of Africa’ due to its cool weather. This lake is renowned as one of the most beautiful spots in western Uganda, boasting the title of being the second deepest lake in Africa at 900 meters deep. It is also one of the few places in the country where swimming is considered safe, free from the risk of bilharzia.

End your day with a delicious dinner and a peaceful night's rest at the lodge.
