Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

We'll pick you up from your hotel and, after meeting your guide and chef, set off for a 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Famous for its varied landscape and majestic baobab trees, the park is home to Tanzania's largest elephant population, offering a unique chance to observe them up close. Enjoy a game drive through the park, where you might spot predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards, along with herbivores such as giraffes, wildebeests, and zebras.

Take a break for lunch at the scenic Tarangire River, where you can soak in the views and watch wildlife nearby. Keep an eye out for cheeky monkeys and baboons who may add some fun to your meal!

Day 2

Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti National Park

Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you'll leave Mto wa Mbu and begin your journey to the Serengeti, a 6-hour drive with scenic stops along the way, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You'll have a brief stop at the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint to take in the breathtaking panoramic views.

An optional stop at a Maasai village is available, where you can experience the rich traditions of the Maasai people. While customs like lion hunting are no longer practised, the visit offers a glimpse into their fascinating heritage. This visit is not included in the tour price and costs $10 to $20 per person.

By late afternoon, you'll arrive in the Serengeti and enjoy a game drive in Seronera, the heart of the park. As the sun sets, you'll have the chance to witness wildlife, possibly even predators in action, as you wrap up an unforgettable day.

Day 3

After an early breakfast, you'll set out on a morning game drive, observing a diverse range of wildlife until early afternoon. Return to the camp for lunch and pack up before heading out for another game drive as you exit the Serengeti. From there, you'll continue to Simba Campsite near the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, a scenic 2-hour drive.

After an early breakfast, you'll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater in search of the rare black rhino. While the crater’s unique terrain offers excellent visibility for spotting wildlife, the black rhino remains one of the most elusive creatures to find. Following lunch, you'll enjoy another game drive before ascending the crater and returning to camp to pack. You'll then head back to Arusha, where you'll stay at Summit Safari Lodge.

Day 5

Mount Kilimanjaro

Set off on a day hike on Mount Kilimanjaro and experience the majesty of Africa's highest peak. Starting early in the morning, you'll trek from the mountain’s base, ascending through lush rainforests that give way to heather and moorland. Along the way, you'll be treated to sweeping views of the surrounding landscapes and the towering Kilimanjaro summit.

The trail winds through various ecosystems, offering a chance to spot unique flora and fauna. Depending on the route, you may reach viewpoints with stunning vistas of the glacier-capped summit and the vast plains below. Designed for day hikers, the trek includes plenty of stops to rest and enjoy the scenery.

After an enriching day of hiking, you'll return to the base, reflecting on the beauty of the landscapes and your sense of achievement. The safari wraps up with a drive back to the Arusha region, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel.
