Day 1

Arusha-Serengeti National Park

Arusha-Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your hotel and embark on your journey to Serengeti National Park. Depending on the time of year, you may witness the migration of wildebeests, zebras, and Thomson gazelles. In October and November, during the short rainy season, these animals typically move from Kenya’s Masai Mara through the northwest Serengeti to the southern plains. Following the long rainy season in April, May, and June, they make their way back through the western and northwestern regions of Serengeti. However, keep in mind that their migration patterns can vary based on rainfall.

Your guide will work diligently to locate these magnificent animals, ensuring you have the best vantage points for viewing. With the herds often come predators, so you might even be fortunate enough to witness a hunt. You'll spend the night at Serengeti Matawi Camp, immersing yourself in the beauty of the wilderness.
