Arrival - Transfer from Kigali to Bwindi Forest

Your day begins with your driver-guide picking you up from either the airport or your hotel in Kigali, setting the stage for an exhilarating journey into the heart of extreme southwestern Uganda. Along the way, we’ll make a stop for lunch to savor local flavors.

As we approach the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, renowned for its thriving gorilla population, you'll be surrounded by one of the world's most fertile and diverse ecosystems, teeming with an array of primates, exotic plants, and vibrant tropical birds. Upon arrival, immerse yourself in the local culture with a visit to the Batwa pygmy community, gaining insights into their rich heritage.

After a fulfilling day, enjoy dinner and retire for the night at a cozy lodge nestled among the lush forests and rolling hills of Bwindi, all in anticipation of the adventures that await you the following day.

Gorilla Tracking & Transfer back to Kigali

Start your day with an early breakfast before heading to the briefing point, where the excitement of gorilla trekking awaits, the highlight of your adventure! This thrilling experience may last anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorilla group you will be visiting.

Guided by a representative from the Uganda Wildlife Authority and accompanied by expert trackers, you’ll trek through the lush rainforest and along the bamboo-covered slopes in search of a mountain gorilla family. While the trek can be challenging and lengthy at times, the moment you spot a magnificent silverback, any discomfort will fade away in an instant.

As a result of the expedition's nature, you will need to pack a lunch to enjoy during your adventure. After your unforgettable gorilla tracking experience, you will embark on a scenic drive through the terraced hills back to Kigali city. Upon your arrival, your driver will be there to drop you off at the airport, concluding your incredible journey.
