Day 1

Your day tour begins with your hotel pick up at 06:00hrs Drive 3 hours to the Marangu Gate, where you will register at the gate with the Kilimanjaro National Park authorities and begin hiking at around 11.00hrs The Marangu Route, which we follow today, approaches Kilimanjaro from the southeast. We will be attempting to reach the Mandara Hut and will only trek through the lower altitudes, taking our picnic lunch on the way to the Mandara Hut. Once we reach the hut at 14:00hrs, we will stop for a rest for 30 mins and then descend slowly back to Marangu Gate for 2.5 hours. The vehicle will be waiting to pick you up and return you to your hotel in Arusha.

Day 2

Arusha National Park

In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and take you to the Arusha National Park. The park has an incredible variety of fauna and flora, which cannot fail to impress you. Your day trip will include a visit to the Ngurdoto Crater, where you will see buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, warthogs, zebras, and baboons. If lucky, you'll see Colobus monkeys as well as many different species of birds. At the Momella Gate which is the next gate after the main gate, you will start walking safari with the armed park ranger. The ranger will be waiting to accompany you on the walking safari which will give you the chance to experience the wildlife up-close. Lunch will be taken at a picnic place and in the afternoon, you will continue your tour in the safari vehicle through the Arusha National Park. After plenty of time allocated for you to observe the wildlife, we will take you to the hotel.
