Amboseli is well known for hosting some of the largest "tuskers," including Tim and Echo, one of the most researched elephants in the area. After the morning drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch and a chance to recharge before heading out for an afternoon game drive to cover the remaining parts of Amboseli National Park. Tsavo West - Tsavo East National Park

Just opposite Tsavo West is its sister park, Tsavo East National Park. The two parks are separated by the Nairobi-Mombasa highway, but wildlife moves freely between them, forming one of the largest parks in the world. Both parks are famous for the "red elephants" and "Tsavo Man-Eater" lions. The red elephants appear brownish-red because they bathe in the reddish soil and mud to cool their bodies. The man-eaters became famous in 1898 during the construction of the Kenya-Uganda railway after a pair of large man-eating lions killed dozens of workers. You will enjoy a game drive into Tsavo East as you head to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you can visit Mudanda Rock or Lugard's Falls.
