Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

This morning, you’ll head to Dar es Salaam airport for your flight to Arusha. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted and transferred to Tarangire National Park for an exciting game drive. Immerse yourself in the wildlife experience and enjoy an overnight stay at Fig Tree Lodge, with lunch and dinner provided, along with daily drinking water for each guest.

Spanning nearly 2,500 square kilometers, Tarangire National Park is famous for its large elephant herds and distinctive baobab trees. The park gets its name from the Tarangire River, which flows through its landscape. Particularly breathtaking during the dry season (June - November), Tarangire rivals the Serengeti in wildlife concentrations. The river serves as a crucial water source, drawing large populations of elephants and other animals. With its diverse habitats and the constant flow of the Tarangire River, the park is home to over 3,000 elephants and 600 bird species.

Often called the eighth natural wonder of the world, the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact caldera on the planet. Formed about 2 million years ago when the Ngorongoro volcano erupted and collapsed, the crater features towering walls that rise 600 meters high. Within its natural enclosure, you’ll find lush acacia forests, hippo-filled swamps, and open grasslands. These diverse habitats are home to elephants, warthogs, flamingos, various stunning bird species, the rare black rhinoceros, and all the big cats.
