The rest of the day is yours to spend in any way you like as you explore this fascinating city. The Entebbe Botanical Garden for birding and a fresh nature walk is a good welcome for first time visitors.

Day 2

Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Murchison Falls National Park

After a delicious breakfast, the first part of your journey will take you from Entebbe to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. After being briefed by the ranger, you will drive to a place where the rhinos can be seen; the remaining distance to this area will be on foot. In most cases, you will be able to see the rhinos from very near, but always listen to the rangers!

After rhino tracking and lunch, you will drive to Murchison Falls National Park where you will have dinner and spend the night. Giraffes have recently been introduced at the sanctuary, so you may have a sighting.

Day 3

Game Drive, Boat Cruise to Bottom of The Falls and Hike to Top of The Falls

Have an early breakfast and then take off in time to cross the bridge over the Nile. On the northern part of the Nile, you will start your game drive safari looking for wildlife. Your Big Five checklist continues. With luck, you may see the remaining Big Four all resident in Murchison Falls National Park.

In the mid afternoon you will take a boat to the bottom of the world's most powerful falls, Murchison Falls. En route, gaze at grazing elephant, swimming hippo and perching fish eagles and sometimes sun bathing crocodiles.

You will be back in time for lunch within the park.

After lunch, you will take a short drive to the top of the Falls. With a permanent rainbow you will see how large volumes of water from the Victoria Nile force its way through a 7 meter wide gorge to plunge 43 meters below into a pool. This powerful water fall creates a thunderous noise with a splashing cloud of fog offering a very breathtaking view. Head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4

Transfer to Kibale National Park & Bigodi Community walk

After your morning breakfast, head out to the primate capital of world- Kibale National Park.
This 5 hour journey meanders through the greenest hills you have ever seen with truly breathtaking views.

You will get to your lodge in time for lunch. After checking in at the lodge, you will set out on a community tour in the late afternoon, taking you through rural areas, marshes, and tea plantations.

At Bigodi Wetland, you can learn how to manufacture crafts and mix herbal medicines from the people in this area. The highlight of these walks is the opportunity to see at least five different species of monkeys and catch a glimpse of the blue turaco in all its glory.

Day 5

Welcome to the primate capital- Kibale Forest National Park. First, you visit the Ranger's post in the park for a briefing, then the walk starts in the rainforest. The walk can be heavy at times, so wear good shoes and bring a poncho. Try to keep quiet as you’ll have a better chance of meeting the chimps. The Rangers are experienced in tracking so the chances are very high to spot them within a short time.

After the tracking, you will return for lunch and then drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park and enjoy fantastic park views of the Rwenzori Mountains upon arrival at your lodge. Get ready for an evening game drive.

After an early breakfast you will enjoy a game drive through Kasenyi plains, this area is home to most of the game in the park. In case your Big Five checklist was not complete, here is your second opportunity. The park is teeming with wildlife.

After a morning game drive embark on a mid-morning boat ride on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lakes Edward and George. Here you will see very many different bird species as well as elephant, hippo and buffalo.
Return to the lodge for lunch and later transfer to the Ishasha sector for an evening game drive in search for the famous tree-climbing lions.

You will return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

After a morning game drive in Ishasha it is time to move to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home of the famous mountain gorillas. Check in at Bweza Gorilla lodge and prepare for yet another highlight of this amazing trip: tracking mountain gorillas!

later in the afternoon, we will take a visit to the Batwa community to learn about their way of living and historical ways of living with the mountain gorillas, in the forest!

Day 8

Gorilla trekking

Gorilla trekking

You'll have breakfast and with pick a packed lunch, and head out for briefing before hitting the forest to meet the gorillas. The tracking can last for 4 to 5 hours. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park inhabits more almost half of the world’s 650 mountain gorillas. You'll start climbing early with a tracker even though seeing gorillas depends on their day’s movements. Gorillas are naturally reserved and non-violent animals. It’s a memorable and thrilling moment to watch them and photograph these gentle giants at a close range. Return to the lodge for relaxation.

Later, you will have dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will transfer to your lodge on the edges of Lake Bunyonyi, the second deepest lake in Africa dotted with small islands and a multitude of birds.

This glassy lake is where you will enjoy a boat ride in the afternoon and do some island hopping for the day. Visit punishment island where unmarried girls who got pregnant were left to die or the outcasts' island where everyone who caught leprosy was taken for treatment in the 1920s.

Day 10

Transfer to Entebbe

This is the last day of your safari. You will have breakfast, check out and set off towards Entebbe via Mbarara where you will have lunch and enjoy an hour's visit to the Ankole cultural museum at Igongo Hotel.

You will arrive in Entebbe in the early evening marking the close of a memorable experience of the best of Uganda.
