Day 1

Arrival and Transfer to Bwindi

Arrival and Transfer to Bwindi

Your arrival at Entebbe international airport marks the beginning of your safari. You will be met and briefed by one of our experienced driver guides and you will then set off for a 10 hour drive towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where adventure awaits.
Journey breaks will be at the Kayabwe Equator crossing for pictures, mid morning tea or coffee and a leg stretch and lunch will be had in Mbarara at Igongo hotel.

You will arrive at your lodge in Bwindi in the evening for a well deserved rest.

Day 2

First Gorilla Habituation Experience

First Gorilla Habituation Experience

You will wake up early morning to a hot breakfast, then head to the park headquarters for registration and attend the gorilla habituation briefing. Following the briefing, you will trek through the tropical rainforest of Bwindi with your ranger guides to locate the gorillas. The trek can take anywhere from one to several hours.

You will have the opportunity to spot various wildlife species, including birds and trees, which will add excitement to the trek. The up-close encounter with the family of mountain gorillas when sighted will be the highlight of the day's activity. You will spend up to four hours near the selected mountain gorilla family, along with a team of researchers, as they train these gentle beasts to get used to human presence.

Depending on when you leave the forest, you will visit one of the local communities to immerse yourself in their stunning culture before returning to the lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Second Gorilla Habituation Experience

Second Gorilla Habituation Experience

Start your day with a delicious breakfast and get ready for the continuation of the adventure of a lifetime! Join fellow nature enthusiasts at the Park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla habituation, and get ready to again trek through the lush tropical rainforest of Bwindi to find the majestic mountain gorillas.

As you traverse the forest, your knowledgeable ranger guide will point out various bird and tree species, making your trek even more enjoyable and informative. The trek itself can take anywhere from one to several hours of the day, but the reward of a 4-hour encounter with these endangered creatures in their natural habitat is worth every second.

By participating in gorilla habituation, you will not only have an unforgettable experience but also significantly contribute to their conservation. Upon completion of the trek, you will receive a certificate as a memento of your participation.

Return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Transfer to Lake Mburo

Transfer to Lake Mburo

Wake up to a leisurely breakfast and set off towards Lake Mburo National Park. This scenic little park, close to Kampala, is home to several wildlife species not easily seen elsewhere in Uganda. These include Burchell's zebra and impala. Although elephant are absent from the park, there is plenty of other wildlife to see, including Rothschild's giraffe, buffalo and defassa waterbuck.
Enjoy and evening game drive to experience all the above game and retire to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Lie in for a few hours before you rise for breakfast and then head out towards Entebbe airport.
Today marks the end of your memorable and knowledgeable safari that will leave you with such great memories.
