Arusha National Park

At 8 AM, your safari guide will pick you up from Arusha and drive you to Arusha National Park for an exciting game drive. After your adventures, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Summit Safari Lodge.

Arusha National Park is a hidden gem featuring diverse ecosystems and stunning views of Mount Meru, the park's namesake. This small park encompasses the slopes, summit, and ash cone of Mount Meru, along with the Momela Lakes, Ngurdoto Crater, and the lush highland forests that cover its lower slopes. Game viewing around the Momela Lakes is relaxed and serene, and while exploring the forest, many visitors delight in spotting troops of rare colobus monkeys playing in the treetops. Often referred to as the Eighth Natural Wonder of the World, the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact volcanic caldera on the planet. Formed approximately 2 million years ago when the Ngorongoro volcano erupted and its walls collapsed, the crater now stands as a natural enclosure with towering 600-meter walls. Spanning over 19 kilometers, it features diverse habitats, including acacia forests, hippo-filled swamps, and open grasslands. These environments are home to more than 30,000 animals, including elephants, warthogs, flamingoes, the rare black rhinoceros, and various predatory cats. You may also spot the Maasai herding their cattle alongside buffalo and wildebeest in this stunning landscape.
