Day 1

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After Breakfast, embark on a journey to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place to see white rhinos in Uganda. Upon arrival at Zziwa, you will have a guided walk to search for the rhinos. You will spend an hour with them taking photos and observing their behaviors.

After that fascinating experience, you will have lunch at the Sanctuary and proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival at the park, check in at your lodge for dinner, relaxation, and an overnight stay.

After an early morning breakfast, embark on a guided game drive in Uganda’s largest National Park and have a chance to connect with nature in the wild. During the game drive, you will spot several wildlife species like elephants, giraffes, lions, and birds. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.

After lunch, you will head out for a boat ride to the base of Murchison Falls. Along the ride, you will have close views of hippos, crocodiles, and several bird species along the banks and thereafter, return to your lodge for a rest, dinner, and overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out with your lunch packed and we drive to the top of the falls to encounter the beauty of the world’s most powerful waterfalls, Murchison Falls.

From the top, we shall transfer to Kibale Forest National Park and check in at the booked accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay. The drive to Kibale NP is quite long but rewarded with spectacular views of rolling hills, plantations, and the lush green vegetation around. Upon arrival, check-in and relax or have an extra activity.

Day 4

Bigodi swamp excursion, transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP, Game drive

After breakfast, you will head out for an excursion at Bigodi Swamp. Bigodi Swamp is one of the top places for a wonderful birding experience because it has several species of birds like kingfishers, weavers, hornbills, and papyrus gonolek, among others. There are also other wildlife species to view while at the swamp for example primates, and the rare sitatunga, among others.

From Bigodi, we shall embark on a transfer (about 2 hours) to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will reach the park early enough to have lunch and rest. Later on, you will head out for game viewing. During the game drive, you will spot wild animals like elephants, lions, buffalos, leopards, and kobs, among others. Alternatively, you could go for the Queen’s breathtaking explosion crater drive.

After breakfast, head out for chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge. The gorge is home to several wildlife including habituated chimpanzees, olive baboons, vervet monkeys, and black and white colobus monkeys, among which are the only primates living within Queen Elizabeth National Park. There are also birds like the black bee-eater, papyrus gonolek, and African skimmer, among others. You will end your morning with a thrilling chimpanzee tracking experience. Return to the lodge for a rest and lunch.

After lunch, embark on a 2-hour boat ride along the Kazinga Channel that connects Lakes George and Edward. On the ride, you will have amazing views of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and several bird species on the shores. After the boat ride experience, you can have a brief game drive in the late afternoon. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Have an early morning breakfast and set out for a game drive in the Kasenyi plains, where you will have beautiful views of animals like lions, elephants, kobs, and buffalos, among others. Return to the lodge and check out with your lunch packed then head to Ishasha sector in search of tree-climbing lions. The lions can be spotted on huge fig trees lazily hanging, sleeping, or looking down to spot kobs for prey. The thrill of spotting these tree-climbing lions and taking photos of them is memorable for a lifetime.

From Ishasha, we shall continue to the booked lodge at the edge of Bwindi National Park (Ruhija sector) for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing from the park officials. They will give you the guidelines to follow during the trek. After that, you will have a guided trek in the Bwindi Forest to look out for these magnificent creatures. The trek will last for 2 to 8 hours depending on the location of the gorilla families. Once located, you will be given an hour to spend with them taking photos and observing how they play, feed, and groom. After that fascinating moment, return to the lodge for a relaxed lunch.

After lunch, check out and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. You will spend your evening relaxing as you reflect on the memories of the trip. You will spot beautiful islands and several bird species like weaver birds, grey-crowned cranes, and many others.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Transfer to Lake Mburo NP and enjoy an afternoon (evening) game drive

After breakfast, check out with a packed lunch and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. It is the smallest of Uganda’s Savannah National Parks but blessed with different wildlife species. Upon arrival at the park, you will check in at the lodge and have a rest.

Later, we shall have a game drive in the afternoon up to the evening to enjoy sightings of animals like zebras, impalas, giraffes, and several bird species.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight or have an evening game drive to view nocturnal creatures that are rare to spot during the day. #Optional (for an extra cost).

Morning walking safari in the park, transfer to Entebbe/Kampala

Have an early breakfast and set out for the morning park walk guided by an armed ranger guide. During the walk, you will have a close encounter with animals like zebras, antelopes, giraffes, and buffalos, among others.

After the walk, return to the lodge for checkout and transfer to Entebbe airport to catch a flight (1800hrs or later). You will have a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe for lunch, photography and to buy souvenirs.
