Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park is renowned for its diverse landscape, featuring nine distinct vegetation zones. It’s particularly famous for its majestic Ancient Baobab trees, the largest in Africa, which rise prominently in the scenery, often dwarfing the wildlife that roam beneath them. The park's river teems with life, offering a rich tapestry of wildlife, including an array of birds, lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and, notably, elephants.

Home to the largest concentration of elephants in the country, Tarangire provides unique opportunities to observe the intricate dynamics of elephant families. The picnic area is a highlight, equipped with an observatory that offers breathtaking views of the river and its wildlife—perfect for catching a glimpse of a hunt while enjoying your meal.
