Nairobi/Tsavo West National Park
We will travel by road to Tsavo West National Park, arriving in time for lunch. After that, you have the option to join an afternoon or evening game drive. Tsavo West is the most popular part of Tsavo National Park, featuring numerous attractions beyond its wildlife. One highlight is the renowned Mzima Springs, where around 227.3 million liters of cool, clear water emerge from the ground through volcanic rock. This water is thought to come from the Chyulu Hills via an underground river.

After breakfast, we will embark on a full-day game drive, with a packed lunch provided. Among the notable sites to explore are the Roaring Rocks, named for the wind that rushes through them. From this vantage point, you can enjoy stunning views over Tsavo from the top of a 98-meter rock face; similar perspectives can be found at the poacher's lookout. The volcanic Chaimu Crater, less than 200 years old and made of black coke, is also worth a visit and can be climbed if you're interested. This area is a great spot to spot klipspringers, small and agile antelopes known by their Swahili name, mbuzi mawe (mountain goat). In the southwest corner of Tsavo West lies Lake Jipe, which straddles the Kenyan-Tanzanian border.
