Check for flights arriving in Nairobi in the morning in readiness to depart for Aberdares Forest. Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our safari driver guide. After a short pre-safari briefing, you will depart and drive to Aberdares National Forest and arrive at The Ark in time for lunch or a late lunch.
The Ark is nestled in the lush, dense forests of Kenya’s Aberdare National Park. It overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick, attracting a wide variety of impressive wildlife. Modeled after Noah's Ark, The Ark features four viewing decks with balconies and lounges, offering excellent game viewing from the comfort of the lodge. The lodge is visited daily by elephants, buffalos, and a diverse array of plains game.
At 6:00 PM – Depart for a game drive within Aberdare Country Club, or you can relax and enjoy the sight of the animals as they come to the waterhole to quench their thirst.

Aberdares to Samburu National Reserve
Enjoy an early morning breakfast at the lodge. Depart at around 9:00 am for Sarova Shaba Game Lodge, taking a picturesque 3-and-a-half-hour drive through the winding roads around Mt. Kenya. You will cross the equator at Nanyuki and arrive in time for lunch or a late lunch.
The lodge is set within Shaba’s dramatic scenery of dry grasslands, woodlands, and volcanic desert, overlooking the Ewaso Nyiro River, just east of Samburu. This area is also known as the “Born Free Country,” which Joy and George Adamson called home for many years.
At 4:00 PM, enjoy an afternoon game viewing drive in the Shaba National Reserve, and return to the lodge in time to refresh for dinner.

Samburu National Reserve
Enjoy a full day in the reserve with morning and afternoon game-viewing drives, allowing you ample opportunity to observe and appreciate the diverse wildlife. The reserve is renowned for its rich population of rare northern special species, including the majestic Grevy's Zebra, striking Somali Ostrich, elegant Reticulated Giraffe, graceful Gerenuk, and the stately Beisa Oryx, also known as the Samburu Special. In addition to these unique species, the reserve is also home to a thriving population of elephants. Furthermore, you can look forward to encountering large predators such as the regal lion, elusive leopard, and swift cheetah, which are all key attractions within the reserve. Notably, Kamunyak, the Miracle Lioness, who famously adopted a baby Oryx, is a resident in the reserve, offering a rare and remarkable sighting. Additionally, wild dog sightings are a common and thrilling experience within this exceptional protected area.

Samburu National Reserve to Ol-Pejeta Conservancy
Enjoy an early morning breakfast at the Lodge. At around 8:30 AM, check out and embark on a game drive experience. Afterward, depart Samburu and drive to the nearby 110,000-acre Ol Pejeta Conservancy, located on the Laikipia plains. Enjoy a game-viewing drive en route to the Camp, a sheltered oasis clustered around a water hole, set in the pristine calm of the private Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Sweetwaters Serena Camp offers a charming blend of under-canvas ambiance and safari experience. You will arrive in time for lunch or late lunch.
At 4:00 PM, enjoy an afternoon game viewing drive in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy returning to camp in time to refresh for dinner.

You can enjoy a brief game drive experience as you depart to return back to Nairobi to catch your flight back home.
Depending on your departure flight timings, we can customize the itinerary for you to depart Ol-Pejeta Conservancy after lunch to catch your flight back home. Please note that the extension will attract an extra charge to cover lunch or park fees for late exit.
We can also customize this itinerary to include other parks such as Lake Nakuru National Park, Masai Mara Game Reserve, or Amboseli National Park for a longer game drive experience. Additionally, you can extend this itinerary to include a beach excursion to either Diani, Malindi, Mombasa, or Zanzibar.
