Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park

Your driver/guide will pick you up from your hotel or residence in Nairobi or Nairobi International Airport, and you will depart for Lake Nakuru National Park with a stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. Upon arrival, you will check in and embark on a game drive to explore the park's fascinating mix of dazzling birdlife and traditional safari wildlife. The park is home to a rhino sanctuary with a population of white and black rhinos. Additionally, you may spot the rare Rothschild's giraffe feeding among the acacia forests. Watch for other wildlife, such as waterbucks, hyenas, baboons, and monkeys, as you traverse the park's shores and woodlands.

A picnic lunch will be served at the viewpoint, during which you can engage with our professional guide about the history of Lake Nakuru, including why it has no outlets and how many inlets it has.

After lunch, you will continue your game drive before heading to Lanet Matfam Resort for dinner and an overnight stay.

Lake Nakuru National Park to Lake Naivasha and Return to Nairobi

After breakfast, check out and drive to Lake Naivasha. Upon arrival, enjoy a boat ride on the lake as you head to Crescent Island sanctuary. There is so much to see and do at Lake Naivasha and the nearby Crescent Island sanctuary. You can embark on a boat and a walking safari to get close to the wildlife. During your time at Lake Naivasha, you can expect to see giraffes, waterbuck, zebras, buffalos, crocodiles, and, of course, many hippos! Bird lovers will also find plenty to enjoy in this vibrant ecosystem.
