Day 1

After breakfast in your hotel, start on the journey that will see you cross the border over to Uganda into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for the Gorilla trekking. You will use the Cyanika border driving through the Kigezi Highlands known as the “Switzerland” of Africa with lunch en- routes. Catching your eye are the beautiful, terraced hillsides with the winding roads and the distant view of the volcanoes and lakes.

Arrive at Broadbill Forest Camp where you’ll be spending you night or any other accommodation of your choice. Take time to rest as you prepare yourself for the Gorilla Tracking experience the next day. The Camp is located in the middle of the forest, calm and peaceful with a fantastic view of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. It also gives you a warm bottle and fireplace to warm yourself during the harsh conditions in the forest, plus a friendly and well-trained staff that meet the international standards who do everything possible to make you feel at home.

Bwindi Impenetrable Experience and Transfer to Kigali

After an early morning breakfast, your driver/guide takes you to the park headquarters. This is the starting point of the gorilla tracking where you will be briefed by the park Rangers about tracking these apes in the forest. The rain forest is dense with numerous animal trails. The excitement of spending time by observing these apes is a memorable experience and one of the most important activities of your Uganda Wildlife Safari. Gorillas are shy and peaceful animals, and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact with one another.

Return to embark on the journey back to Kigali for your flight back home or to your hotel for an overnight.
