Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), a Kambu Campers representative will warmly greet you, ensuring you feel immediately welcomed to Kenya. After assisting with your luggage, you’ll be briefed on your upcoming safari, providing you with essential details and exciting highlights of the adventure that awaits.

You’ll then be transferred to the charming Boma Inn Hotel, located in Nairobi, known for its comfortable accommodations and personalized service. Settle into your room and relax after your journey, as you prepare for an exciting start to your safari the next day. Dinner will be available at the hotel’s restaurant, offering a variety of local and international dishes to kick off your stay on a delicious note.

Nairobi to Masai Mara – Welcome to the Wild

Upon having breakfast, your safari begins with an early pick-up from your hotel or the airport in Nairobi, a bustling city with over 4 million people and the only capital city with a national park within its borders. After a brief safari introduction, you'll be transferred to Wilson Airport for your 10:30 am flight to the Masai Mara. Enjoy aerial views of the Great Rift Valley en route to Kenya's famous wildlife reserve, arriving at Siana airstrip at 11:15 am. Your guide will take you to Kambu Mara Camp, a highly-rated budget camp 15 minutes from Sekenani Gate, nestled between Naboisho and Nashulai Conservancies.

After check-in and lunch, embark on an afternoon cultural immersion with a visit to a Masai Village to learn about Masai traditions, including the Adumu dance, followed by a visit to the Masai Beads Museum in Sekenani town. After, explore the Masai Mara, renowned for its Big Five and diverse wildlife. End the day with dinner and a peaceful night at the camp.

Full-Day Safari in the Masai Mara – Unforgettable Wildlife Encounters

Today, you have the option of a full-day game drive with picnic lunch boxes, or two shorter game drives—one in the morning and another in the late afternoon. For bird lovers, the reserve also boasts over 400 bird species.

After a full day of exploring the Mara's rolling hills and vast savannahs, return to Kambu Mara Camp and unwind with a sundowner as you watch the magnificent African sunset. A campfire dinner awaits, and you'll spend your second night in the serene surroundings of the camp.

Return to Nairobi

After enjoying an early breakfast at the camp, you'll check out and embark on a short drive to Siana Airstrip. Take in the last views of the Mara's stunning landscapes as you prepare for your return flight to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you'll be met by a representative who will transfer you to your hotel or to the airport, marking the end of your Masai Mara adventure.

You can enhance your experience with a visit to the Karen Blixen Coffee Garden for lunch, followed by a tour of the Karen Blixen Museum, offering insights into Kenya's colonial history. In the afternoon, visit the Giraffe Center for a unique wildlife encounter, and optionally stop by a mall for gift shopping. You can then enjoy a memorable dinner at the renowned Carnivore Restaurant before being dropped off at a hotel of your choice or extend your adventure with an extra day for a full-day safari.
